KalDer, the Turkish Society for Quality, convenes its 16th Quality Congress
KalDer has announced that the theme of its 2007 Quality Congress will be "Global Competitiveness and World Citizenship". A new global outlook represents a conscious move on the part of KalDer to embrace world issues and broaden the scope of the meeting into an International Quality Congress. The Congress will take place between 12-14th November in Istanbul.
Keynote speakers
KalDer are pleased to announce that leading spokesmen on world affairs will deliver keynote speeches to the delegates:
- Kofi Annan - Former Secretary General of the United Nations
- Kemal Derviş - Head of the United Nations Development Programme
- Peter Bakker - CEO of TNT Express.
- IRCA Director, Simon Feary, will speak on the opening panel.
KalDer expect 2,500 delegates to attend, comprising executives and managers from various disciplines, auditors and assessors, and trainers and consultants from different sectors.
Simon Feary, IRCA Director, commented: "I am pleased to take IRCA to the forefront of the debate on current international problems and their effect on the future of the quality industry. It is important for IRCA to engage with some of the world's leading statesmen, and I look forward to positive output from the Congress."
Topics for discussion
The main focus of the Congress will be contemporary management issues within the context of tackling immediate global problems, such as the inequality of income distribution and climate change. Over 25 parallel sessions will deal with a wide array of management issues, including:
- New Tools and Techniques in Management
- Audit Quality
- TQM Applications in the Public Sector
- Competitiveness Worldwide
- Responsible Investment
- Corporate Social Responsibility.
