IRCA and LNCSM form IRCA Libya
Today the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) and the Libyan National Centre for Standardization and Metrology (LNCSM) entered into an agreement to provide local auditor certification services for Libyan auditors.

(Dr Ahmed Shembesh, LNCSM and Vincent Desmond, IRCA sign the agreement in Tripoli)
The arrangement is intended to benefit auditors resident in Libya by making IRCA's auditor certification programmes more accessible through reducing or removing the constraints of language, culture and geography. In addition, the arrangement is intended to contribute to the integrity of IRCA auditor certification through providing a resource in Libya to evaluate and verify information submitted in auditor applications for certification.
Dr Ahmed Shembesh, Director General of the LNCSM, stated that, “this historic agreement supports Libya’s development of a national standards and conformity assessment structure and provides international integrity to the country’s management systems auditor training and qualification.”
Auditors based in Libya may apply for IRCA auditor certification via IRCA Libya operated through the LNCSM by contacting Dr Dia eddin Sadek Abouhadra at the LNCSM.
IRCA Director, Simon Feary, indicated that, “IRCA is very pleased to be supporting the LNCSM’s initiative to develop standards and conformity assessment in Libya and we look forward to contributing IRCA’s know-how and services in future.”
