IRCA revises TickIT auditor programme
This month IRCA issued a revised TickIT
2000 auditor certification programme .
The revised criteria feature:
- New Internal Auditor
grade
- New Principal Auditor
grade
- Elimination of the
mandatory interview
- New IT Questionnaire
requirement
To achieve these important improvements, IRCA worked in partnership
with the British Computer Society's TickIT Committee who provide
essential guidance on auditor IT competence requirements.
IRCA Director, Simon Feary, stated that, "our revised criteria
have removed the administrative complexity and mandatory interview
requirement that were adding cost, without value, to our customers
and those that employed them. TickIT auditors will now demonstrate
their knowledge of software development and IT systems by completing
an IT questionnaire
."
