World Quality Day - 12 November

World Quality Day is just six weeks away and the arrangements for events around the globe are being finalised. In Pakistan, staff at the Aga Khan University Hospital will be holding events building on their success last year and the South African Quality Institute is planning a series of events from 2–12 November.

Dubai Maritime City, the world’s first city to be built for the international maritime industry, is planning to conduct training and awareness sessions to promote the understanding of quality and its importance. Meanwhile in Zimbabwe, Carnaudmetal Box, a supplier of metal cans, will be holding quality meetings to analyze issues as well as conducting quality awareness sessions.

In the UK, the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) will be supporting its members who are putting on events all over the country in businesses of all sizes and sectors. This year's World Quality Day is sponsored by certification body NQA.

UK nuclear waste management specialist Sellafield Ltd, is hosting an event on 11 November that will feature lectures from a number of respected quality experts including Professor John Oakland, John Seddon and Olivier Mythodrama.

Organizations across many industries are taking a pro-active approach in raising awareness of quality not only in their own organization but also within their industry.’
