BS 8901: your view

BS 8901, the event sustainability management system standard, was published in 2007. As discussed in Catherine Golds’ article, interest in this standard is growing - especially in the UK with the approach of the 2012 London Olympics. The standard provides organizers with requirements for the environmental management of events of all sizes and types. The standard has a broad remit covering not only sustainability but also health and safety and social concerns.
