BS 31100
BSI’s standard for risk management, BS 31100, is due to be published in the Autumn. The aim of the new standard is to provide a generic basis for understanding, developing, implementing and maintaining risk management. It will establish terminology and give recommendations for how to build a framework to implement risk management.
Risk management has become more of a prominent issue over the last few years and BS 31100 hopes address the issues involved. The standard is applicable to organisations of all types and sizes, with language selected for this purpose. It is framed around two sections; the first will establish processes and frames and the second will outline risk-management tools and classifications of different types of risk.
