The Chartered Quality Institute

Following the attainment of a Royal Charter, the Institute of Quality Assurance (IQA) will now be known as the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) with a new president, Sir David Brown, at its helm.

The CQI’s notion of quality is based on two main ingredients: innovation and care. The achievement of the Royal Charter has given the institute the opportunity to not only change its name but also reinvigorate its brand and the notion of quality as a whole. As Sir David Brown remarked: ‘Quality used to be a spotlight on a particular part of the business process, now it’s a floodlight on the whole business’.

In order to comfortably step into its role as principal thought-leader in the world of quality, it is essential that the institute was willing and able to evolve. The design of the new brand is the conglomeration of rigorous market research and internal brainstorming. The new freeform, handpainted logo (below) illustrates innovation, and the yellow and green reflect the CQI's care and commitment to a sustainable future.
