Aerospace
This program recognizes there are two distinct types of audit
conducted within the aerospace industry and has two parts:
- Audit using standards other than the AS/EN/JISQ 9100 series,
and not as part of the Aerospace Sector Certification Scheme
(ASCS).
- Audit using the AS/EN/JISQ 9100, 9110 & 9120 standards
within third party accredited certification, in support of
ASCS
Each type has a different competence requirement and the distinctions
between these are explained in the programme
criteria, and are reflected in the two distinct types of
certification grades, and scopes awarded.
The aerospace industry introduced the AS/EN/JISQ 9100 aerospace
management systems standard for the international certification
of aerospace companies and suppliers to the aerospace industry.
The ACSC part of the IRCA Aerospace certification programme
is recognized by the International
Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) and the European
Association of Aerospace Industries (AECMA) and operated
with the approval of Society
of British Aerospace Companies (SBAC).
The Aerospace auditor programme provides training
and recognition for QMS auditors who audit aerospace quality
management systems i.e. those employed by third party certification
bodies, regulatory bodies, aerospace companies and suppliers
to the aerospace industry.

that you can conduct process-based audits competently against
AS/EN/JISQ 9100, 9110, 9120 and ISO 9001:2008 or accepted
alternatives within the aerospace industry sector for clients
world-wide.
- Formal registration on the IAQG
international database (OASIS) for auditors auditing within
third party accredited certification, in support of ASCS.

- ISO 9001:2008Quality Management Systems - Requirements
- ISO 19011:2002 Guidelines on Quality and/or Environmental Management Systems Auditing.
And in addition, for the ASCS programme:
- AS/EN/JISQ 9100; Aerospace Series Quality Systems. Model
for quality assurance in design, development, production,
installation and servicing
- AS/EN/JISQ 9110; Aerospace Series Quality Systems. Model
for quality assurance applicable to maintenance organisations
