TickIT
The TickIT scheme helps software organisations develop quality
systems that are relevant to their business processes and are
compliant with ISO 9001. The TickIT procedures require third
party certification of the quality system to be carried out
by accredited certification bodies, using auditors who have
direct experience of the software industry and its processes.
TickIT is managed and maintained by the TickIT
Office , a department within BSI Standards with
responsibility for all aspects of standardization in information
systems and communications.
The IRCA TickIT auditor programme supports the TickIT scheme
by providing third party certification of TickIT auditors and
TickIT auditor training courses. Essential guidance on auditor
IT competence requirements is provided by the British Computer
Society's TickIT Committee.
