IPC auditors must transfer to IRCA's
QMS programme

Auditors certificated against the International Personnel Certification Association’s quality management systems auditor programme are being urged to transfer to IRCA’s QMS programme before the scheme closes in 2010.

The scheme through which IRCA accepted applications for IPC QMS auditor certification was brought to a close on 30 September 2007. IRCA has been allowing IPC auditors to renew their annual certification while the current three year period expires. However, in a year’s time the IPC Multilateral Agreement will be withdrawn and IPC QMS auditors will no longer be able to renew.

IRCA is offering IPC auditors the opportunity to transfer to the IRCA QMS Auditor programme. Robert Skelton-Stroud, IRCA operations manager, said: ‘We urge IPC auditors not to miss the opportunity of transferring across to our programme before the final deadline of 30 September 2010. Being IRCA certified gives employers credible independent assurance of auditors’ competency the world over. In tough economic times and a pressured jobs market, such recognition is invaluable.’

IPC auditors wanting to transfer to the IRCA QMS auditor programme should contact IRCA’s auditor certification department on E: registration@irca.org
