The Chartered Quality Professional
hits the streets
The Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) has announced the new Chartered Quality Professional (CQP) membership grade. Since its launch, over 3,000 quality professionals have upgraded to CQP status.
The new status will bring greater recognition for the quality professional. CQPs will have to follow a programme of continual professional development (CPD) in order to maintain their status. Competence will be measured against the CQI’s Body of Quality Knowledge, a framework that defines the current knowledge boundaries of the quality profession.
Simon Feary, CQI CEO, said: ‘The new CQP membership grade puts quality professionals on a level of recognition with other chartered professionals, enhancing their status and career prospects. It will provide a benchmark by which to identify highly skilled quality practitioners.’
